EUIPO Tuesday webinars June 2024 – EU vs US design rights
EUROCROWD, via CrowdIP and in collaboration with the EUIPO is happy to invite you to join forthcoming webinars on IP aspects for businesses expanding from the EU to the USA. The European Union and the United States are key geopolitical and trading partners with trade figures at historical highs. Design rights are increasingly used by businesses on both sides of the Atlantic to protect the appearance of products and thus secure a competitive advantage.
This webinar will provide an overview of requirements and the benefits of the protection offered by design rights in the US compared to the EU and the territorial limitations. It will answer the following questions:
- What are the design patent rights that can be registered at the USPTO?
- What are the main requirements of filing a design and the main differences with the EU system?
- How can you overcome office objections?
- Why is representation in the different jurisdictions important and what is the role of representatives in the US and the EU?
EU and US representatives and EU and US businesses will receive valuable insights to help manage and adapt their portfolio both in EUIPO and in the US successfully.
This webinar is for EU and US businesses looking to expand to these jurisdictions and protect their portfolio at the USPTO and the EUIPO. EU companies and their representatives doing business in the United States seeking to protect the appearance of their products will obtain first-hand information from experts at the US Patent and Trade Mark Office and the EUIPO.
Join on Tuesday 18 June at 15:00 (CEST).
