New SME Fund 2024 to co-finance SMEs IP protection: Join the EUIPO webinar on 6 February 2024, 10.00 am
CrowdIP is excited to share that the EUIPO is launching the SME Fund 2024, with a higher number of intellectual property activities that can be reimbursed. The builds on the success of the SME Fund 2023, with around 35,000 applications from all over Europe.
IP is instrumental for businesses operating in public markets, therefore especially crowdfunding platforms and their clients might benefit from this offer.

The Ideas Powered for business SME Fund is an initiative by the European Commission implemented through the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

The list of funded services in 2024 is increasing, covering more IP related cost than in previous years, including:
- IP Scan Enforcement
- Designation fees for trademarks
- legal cost for patent applications drafting and filing
- Cost will be reimbursed, depending on the service of up to 90%
For crowdfunding platforms and their clients who have not protected their IP yet, this is a great opportunity to safeguard their Intellectual Property with the support of EUIPO in 2024.
What is the SME Fund?
The Ideas Powered for business SME Fund is a grant scheme designed to help EU-based small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) protect their intellectual property (IP) rights.
Why you need to protect your IP?
Protecting your IP is the legal route to protect assets, it safeguards ideas, products, and services. IP protection through the SME Fund can cover many different assets, including trade marks, designs, patents and plant varieties, therefore increasing the value of any business.
Who's eligible?
The SME Fund offers financial support to SMEs established in the European Union. Grants (vouchers) are given to claim reimbursement for IP application costs. Reimbursement is always transferred directly to the SME’s bank account.
Funds are limited and available on a first come, first served basis!
