Ecrowd! (ECROWD INVEST PLATAFORMA DE FINANCIACIÓN PARTICIPATIVA, S.L.) is a crowdlending platform based in Barcelona, focused in participative loans for positive impact (environmental or social) investments in Spanish-based SMEs and other kind of organizations. Ecrowd! has also been so far the only Spanish crowdfunding platform that has been able to achieve collective loans for building owners communities and also municipalities in Spain.
Ecrowd! has been operating since 2015 under the supervision of the CNMV (Spanish Financial Authority) and the Spanish Central Bank. Ecrowd! has more than 5,000 people registered in its web platform who are looking forward to participate in positive impact investments, and they have raised funds by more than €6,5 million. Some examples of the most common investments financed by the crowd in the platform are: photovoltaic self-consumption installations for SMEs, and fiber optic networks for small villages or rural areas.
The activity of Ecrowd! is also supported by the Government of Catalonia through ACCIÓ (Catalan Agency for Business Competitiveness).
